We had the car in for a clutch assessment. The clutch was not working. We spent a lot of money on a tow. Someone from Bassitt called and explained $600 worth of repairs to the cooling system, which was not malfunctioning. We did not ask for repairs to the cooling system. We asked for a clutch job. I don’t know why they worked on the cooling system. We had to spend a lot of money on a tow to a different shop because apparently it is common practice at your shop to do work that has not been requested. At least that’s what the person on the phone explained to me.
Ms. Taylor. My name is Jammie, and I am the manger here. First of all, I'm sorry that you're unhappy about your visit. I spoke with Bill and he explained the situation to me. Yes indeed, the clutch was out. The cooling system in your vehicle was extremely rusty and our technician had a concern about the viability of the engine. He was trying to make sure that the vehicle would warrant the price of clutch work. We weren't trying to take advantage of any situation, and that's why your bill was zero. We didn't charge anything for the flush that we did, as it is more important that we are fair in our dealings. Again, my apologies that your visit wasn't good.
